Inter-American School serves approxiamately 170 students each year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 students, only 12 of which may be English Language Learners.
National Background
- Eighty-five percent of our students are from Guatemalan families, most of whom are from affluent homes. The Guatemalan students come from a wide variety of religious backgrounds.
- Ten percent of our students are children of missionaries from the United States and Canada.
- Five percent of our students come from a various countries such as Mexico, Nicaragua, Korea, China, Austria, and the Netherlands.
Religious Background
- Inter-American School is Protestant evangelical and non-denominational.
- 25% of the student body comes from Protestant backgrounds.
- 75% of the student body comes from Catholic backgrounds.
- IAS does not accept students from cults, Mormons, or Jehovah's Witness backgrounds.
- IAS accepts some students who do not declare themselves as Christians.
